30 Day Asian Drama Challenge: Day 13

Day 13
YOUR LEAST FAVOURITE FEMALE CHARACTER IN AN ASIAN DRAMA

Funny thing. When I started writing this post I found it surprisingly hard to answer to this question. I don't watch dramas that have female leads that I don't like at all. And while there have been a lot of bitchy second female leads, my hate for them doesn't usually run so deep. They are annoying, but forgettable. So at first didn't know which character I should write this post about. But then I watched the two latest episodes of You're The Best, Lee Soon Shin and I realized that I already have a character I truly dislike.

Han Ji Min for Marie Claire, SURE and Swiss Friends

Actress Han Ji Min takes on three entirely different photoshoots. She is a completely different person while rocking an edgy pixie cut in this month's Marie Claire. In contrast, she was much more recognizable in an elegant fashion pictorial in last month's issue of SURE
Han Ji Min is also a newly appointed Goodwill Amabassador and recently went on a sightseeing trip to Switzerland with Swiss Friends (Switzerland Tourism Board). Although she is dressed like a casual tourist, she still stands out because of her undeniable beauty.

Video of the Day: St. 319 cover of B.A.P.-s "One Shot"

One of the things I love about K-pop are the awesome dances. Ironically, I'm terrible at dancing myself. But I still like watching other people move the way I can't, and so I occasionally browse Youtube for K-pop dance covers. One of the best ones are from this Vietnamese group called St. 319. Not only are their moves really awesome, but they also try to mimic the atmosphere of the original music video by wearing similar clothes and using different props. They just recently released their new cover for B.A.P.-s "One Shot". Needless to say, it's really good. But I'd also recommend watching their older covers from their Youtube channel, which are equally awesome, and if you're more interested about the crew then check out St. 319's official website

But really, doesn't their talent make you jealous?

Sorry for the late post, it took me a while to finish this list. But here they are - my favourite girls from Asian dramas.

Jay Park for NYLON, Marie Claire and K Wave

Jay Park, who just recently made his comeback with the cool and laid-back "Joah", is featured in NYLON, Marie Claire and K Wave. While he is more serious and contemplative in the first two pictorials, Jay gets his groove on in the K Wave's photoshoot where he shows us his acrobatic dancing ability.

30 Day Asian Drama Challenge: Day 11

Day 11
NAME A DRAMA YOU LOOKED FORWARD TO BUT DISAPPOINTED YOU IN THE END

Oh, there have been quite a lot. Many of the dramas I anticipate at first disappoint me in some or another way in the end. But there have been few dramas which I remember being really excited for, but which turned out to be...underachieving.

30 Day Asian Drama Challenge: Day 10

Day 10
AN ASIAN DRAMA CHARACTER WHO IS MOST LIKE YOU

Now that's a difficult one. Especially since I can't really compare myself with Asian drama heroines, who are mostly very positive, bubbly and hard-working - something which is totally not me. I would have to say that there hasn't really been a drama character that has all of my main characteristics. I have a lot of traits that contradict itself, so it's kinda hard to find a character that is filled with so many contradictions like myself. But let's just say that I am a combination of...

Video of the Day: What's on TV - Funny Asian Drama Collab

I like to browse Youtube for new drama fanvids from time to time. And some time ago I stumbled upon StupidApples Youtube channel, where I found this awesomely funny video series called 'What's on TV'. It's a collaboration between different dramavid creators and it pokes harmless fun at Asian dramas. The concept, as written down by StupidApples herself, is zapping through TV channels. My favourite segments are from The King 2 Hearts (Seung Gi's hilarious The King's speech) and Nice Guy.
I decided to include all of the existing videos from this series under this post. So basically today's Video of the Day is going to be the Videos of the Day. Part 4 is also going to be out in a few days time, so I'll be updating this post later on. Enjoy the funnies!

30 Day Asian Drama Challenge: Day 9

Day 9
YOUR LEAST FAVOURITE MALE CHARACTER IN AN ASIAN DRAMA

Hmm...this challenge has made me realize that it is easier to name ultimate favourites than to point out the worst of the worst. But after some thinking, I realized that while I've had many male characters that I dislike, there have been only few that really got on my nerves.

Melody of Lyrics: Lee Hyo Ri - "Miss Korea"

Now although Lee Hyo Ri is one of the most popular Korean female artists, I haven't really acquainted myself with her music. But conveniently for me, she just made her long-awaited comeback with her new album Monochrome and the sexy and stylish "Miss Korea", which I immediately loved. Not only is the song really good, but it also has very thought-provoking lyrics. The song was self-composed and the lyrics were written by Lee Hyo Ri herself.
